About Emma
I am an interdisciplinary artist currently living in London. My work is mainly, but not exclusively, performance art. I also work with photography, video, installation and mark-making, but generally in conjunction with performance. I studied Fine Art at Winchester School of Art, graduating in 2011. I try to visualise or capture time within my practice, using actions and materials that will leave traces. I use material that change themselves – like a candle or ice or objects that can manipulate other surfaces like chalk or bleach. I will perform with these items, often with minimal movement or repetitive actions, to create marks over time.
